Data sources and credits
Version 1.0
Suits My Skin is built on open data. This page credits the projects the catalog comes from and states the licences their work is published under, as those licences require.
Open Beauty Facts
Product names, brands, barcodes, categories and ingredient lists come from Open Beauty Facts, a collaborative database built by volunteers and published by the non-profit association Open Food Facts.
- The database is available under the Open Database License (ODbL).
- Individual contents of the database are available under the Database Contents License (DbCL).
- Product photographs are available under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike licence (CC BY-SA).
Every product picture in this app is a photograph taken by an Open Beauty Facts contributor and is shown here unmodified.
Open Beauty Facts does not endorse Suits My Skin, and does not guarantee the accuracy of the product information it publishes.
CosIng
Ingredient names, functions and CAS numbers come from CosIng, the European Commission's database of cosmetic substances and ingredients, published as European public sector information.
A note on accuracy
Ingredient lists change without the packaging changing, and open data lags reformulations. Always read the label on the product you actually hold — especially if you have an allergy.
